Full Throttle III - End Times (2016)

Join Senate House Library, the IMLR, Bloch Centre and Dutch Embassy for this exclusive film screening.

Full Throttle III - End Times (2016) is a film by Renger van den Heuvel, an independent filmmaker who lives and works in Vienna.

Scene from the film.

It is a filmic portrait of the Dutch cult author, translator and novelist Geerten Meijsing (b. 1950) whose work the director discovered at the age of 19. Meijsing’s debut novel “Erwin” bore a great influence on the filmmaker’s conception of literature and art.

Filmed in Calabria and on Sicily and shot on super 16mm with a Bolex camera, it follows the writer’s travels in his own footsteps on his mission to finish his novel End Times on the peninsula of Ortigia.
