Where can I download electronic copies of theses?

Our answer:

Many PhD theses will be available via the British Library’s EThOS (Electronic Theses Online Service), and should be available for immediate download if they have already been digitised. If not, you can make a request via the EThOS service for the thesis to be digitised and made available for you. In most cases the service is free of charge.

Some digitised theses are available to download via ProQuest Dissertations and Theses. Those which only provide a preview will need to be purchased through ProQuest.
